Diesel Locomotives
The disconcerning Railway Modeller need look no further:
* Award winning Accurascale OO Gauge Locos. Class 31, 37, 50, 60, 66.
* Detailed Roco TT Gauge Diesel Locos, Shunters & Railcars.
No short cuts here. Both brands are the best available and feature 5-pole electric motors, and are available in Two versions: 12 Volt DC (DCC Ready), and DCC fitted with Decoder & Sound.
Accurascale OO gauge Diesel & Steam locos. Accurascale, a London based company, offers surperbly built British themed railway products at a competitive price. They are rapidly expanding and taking market share from other UK OO producers. Accurascale's philosophy is to offer "realistic models at realistic prices."
Unlike some other brands, Accurascale don't offer a standard and a deluxe range. Instead all Accurascale models have all the features, and are built to the same precise standards.
When purchasing a Loco, research carefully because it is a substantial investment and is not alway obvious what you are buying. Cheaper loco brands often lack detail, often have no lighting and are fitted with cheaper 3-Pole electric motors.
If you want smooth glitch free performance, look for Locos with 5-Pole motors & heavy Flywheels. There is nothing worse that buying a Loco and being disappointing by poor performance.
Roco TT gauge Diesel & electric Locos. Roco is a leading European manufacturer of Model railways. Roco/Fleishmann located near Salzburg, Austria have manufacturing plants in Slovakia & Vietnam. We offer Roco superbly manufactured & detailed locos with 5-pole motors & flywheel in DCC ready, and with DCC decoder & sound fitted. Both versions feature directional lighting. The sound emitted from these smaller Gauge Locos is outstanding.
Why might TT:120 be the ideal Scale and Gauge .... especially to new entrants to the model Railway hobby? The space saving attributes of TT are a big attraction. Taking only approx 60% of the space of OO Gauge, you can start with a Table Top layout and subsequently expand it. The scale supports great detail and is easier on the eye than the smaller N gauge. It is easier to handle, so clearly is a sensible entry-level scale.
