Corks cushioning and sound absorbing properties make it a popular underlay for model railway track work.
Cork is a natural and eco friendly product that lasts and will not break down like some foam underlays. It can be attached to your base board with PVA glue and the track pinned to the cork prior to ballasting. Be sure to do all your track testing first in case you need to make any changes!
We supply 3mm thick x 1000mm x 750mm cork (rolled for transportation) which is ideal for TT and HO/OO gauges. Cut into strips with stong sissors or a sharp kraft knife. Suggested widths: 30mm for TT Gauge and 35mm for HO/OO gauge.
