Woodland Scenics ballast is made from real crushed rock and stones and Fine grade has a particle size of .2 to .8mm.
It is a prototypical size for N & TT gauge track.
This lighter buff colour adds is an interesting alternative to the standard Grey colours. It is also often also used to cover Tucking, Logging and Quarry yards to simulate gravel & sand.
Some Modellers blend their ballast and apply darker colours around stations and in Loco & stock sidings to simulate Oil leakages from locos. Particularly so in sidings used by steam locos.
Bag covers approx .760 m2.
