Accurascale BR Mk2C Coaches arrive at last !

Just in are our long awaited BR Mk2C OO Gauge Coaches from Accurascale (ordered in August 25! )  Built in Derby principally for the London Midland region from 1969, some of these coaches are still operating in preservation today.

This is the first time these Accurascale coaches have been available in New Zealand, and we managed to secure Intercity (Blue/grey) Network Southeast and South Wales and West (Maroon) liveries.

They feature separately applied etched metal and plastic parts, including handrails, brake/steam heat pipes, ETH cabining and sockets, footsteps dummy drophead knuckle coupler and roof vents. The B4 bogies have blackened RP25.110 profile wheel sets with 14.4mm back to back measurements with provision for re gauging to EM or P4 with a fully detailed under frame including numerous separate part giving accurate differences between versions.

Each coach has LED lighting which draws power from the track with stay alive capacitors giving flicker-free performance (whether you are an Analogue or DCC user) and can easily be turned on or off with the magnetic wand that is included with each model.  The lighting stays on for a good few minutes which means even on DC the train will stay lit during station stops.  The prism-free glazing gives clear views into the interior with the distinctive winged head rest seats and tables.

As we have come to expect from Accurascale, a detailed colour leaflet with history and variants and spare parts listings are supplied in the box, plus a bag of extras including a pair of close coupling magnetic couplers and an additional pair of tension lock couplers.

The detail and the printing on these coaches is really next level.  These are superb collection pieces which with care will last you a lifetime.
